I'm alive!
Sorry for all the inactivity lately. I have been very busy with life lately. There is a LOT going on.
I am still unemployed, waiting for VR Services to go through all the government bureaucracy so I can be set up with a job that will not put my health in jeopardy. My VR counselor has agreed that I should not work a job that includes physical labor or requires me to be on my feet for more than a few hours at a time, so we're working on getting a job set up in the BMV office. I'm waiting for the special glasses Dr. Windsor designed for me to arrive. Once I get those, we can really get the ball rolling.
Until then, I'm stuck without a job. That wouldn't be so bad if Justin still had his job at Securitas. They had a problem with their contract at one of the places he was working security, and his hours were cut badly enough that he wouldn't be making enough to sustain us, so he's been trying to get a new job at a factory. Unfortunately, that is taking some time. He's actively trying to get employed, but in the meantime, we're stuck waiting with no income. It's a little frightening. We've had to skip paying some utility bills for now. Hopefully he'll be hired before they start sending out cancellation notices. -_-
The good news is we both have very supportive families who will help us out if we need it. I also have food stamps, which give us about $190 a month to feed ourselves, so we won't starve. Despite all that, it has still been very stressful. I'm trying to sell some of my paintings to make a little money for gas and other necessities food stamps won't cover. If you're interested in buying one, please check out the ones I have for sale and send me a message. It would seriously help us out more than you know. One silver lining that has come from Justin and I being unemployed is we've had some extra time to spend together, which has been really nice. Kind of like a forced vacation. We don't have money to go out and do much, but Pokemon Go is free! We've been playing it a lot, getting out and taking over gyms every day! It's something fun to do, and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm actually quite addicted.
Here's my level and some of my Pokemon:
Go Team Valor!
Anyway, I'm going to TRY to be more active on here. In between life's stresses and playing Pokemon Go, I keep forgetting to spend time on dA. Thank you guys all so much for your continued support! I came back to see so many favorites and new watchers, it really made my day!
As always, I leave you with a feature:

It's been 84 years
Alright, slight exaggeration, but it's been a while. I think I'm coming back to DeviantArt again, and I would like to share a little story about why I was gone for so long in the first place. If you look through my gallery, you'll see a LOT of anime / manga style art. They are years, some even decades, old. I used to be super SUPER active on here, hardly missing a day logged in. Part of the reason I lost interest involved the changes made to this site. I felt like the community itself was changing and I didn't much care for it. In all honesty though, I left because I was the one who was changing. I really wanted to fit in with my peers, and the majority of artists I was socializing with were encouraging me to get away from the anime / manga art style in favor of a more realistic western comic book / fantasy style. Since my gallery here consisted of mostly manga style submissions, I just abandoned it and moved on. I was convinced that I needed to "grow up" and move on from my
Is this thing on?
Hey, folks! It's been a while! I've been thinking about returning to dA, but I'm really not sure how active this site is anymore. Are any of my watchers still around? What are your thoughts on modern day DeviantArt? Do you think it's worth coming back? All of the art in my gallery is so nostalgic to me now. A lot has changed, and that includes my art style and interests. If I do come back to dA, I might take some time to revamp my gallery and update some things. It's also entirely possible that I might make this post and completely forget to follow up 🤣 We'll just go with the flow and see what happens, I suppose! - Sunny
And then one day, I forgot DeviantArt existed.
Yes, I am alive.
Yep, I completely forgot this was a thing.
Yeah, I still think about my good friends on here from time to time despite that.
I thought I should drop in and say hello. <3
